Each year, Spirit Led is our #1 Leadership event, where church leaders come together to share, fellowship and learn. This year our focus is Discipleship. Churches—get teams together and plan to be at a very special weekend where we will be challenged to renew our primary calling as believers and to discover ways that work for each of us individually that will help us make disciples. We are able to accommodate more people this year. So please encourage your church leadership teams and your members to be there. Don’t miss out!!

The Church and the Postmodern Culture: Creating Community and Building Christ’s Kingdom The world and the culture has changed! The Gospel and Christ’s call to build His Kingdom has not. But things don’t seem to be working like they used to. People are different. Communities are different. What’s going on? What’s changed? How can we present “Present Truth” to the present culture? During this workshop you will discover the differences between the modern and postmodern eras. You will find out what people are focusing on and looking for and how we, as the church, can provide those things. You will receive information that will empower your local church to effectively incarnate Christ’s Kingdom in your context. |

Faith Or Sight? As followers of Jesus Christ, are our lives marked by the power he promised? Or are we unbelieving believers and practical atheists – we carry the name of Jesus but deny his power? There are 2 big things that prevent us from walking in faith as Jesus desires. Explore how these 2 things cause us to walk by sight (and not faith) and how to let Christ directly tackle the ways these 2 things cripple us in every area of our lives (including identity, addictions, idols, acceptance, stress, and coping mechanisms). |

Every Child a Disciple of Jesus Session 1 – Strategies for the discipleship of children at church. Children matter to God, and churches, parents and families have an incredible opportunity to shape their minds and hearts. In fact, most of a child’s behavioural habits, core values and spiritual beliefs are firmly in place by the age of 13 and these are extremely difficult to change in later years. There is a race on for the minds of children. We CAN raise spiritual giants and make disciples of children, but it takes purposeful, integrated strategies involving the whole church and in particular the home. Children are hungry for the love and hope that only God can give them. Julie will discuss the research that tells us what children need and give you skills and ideas that will equip you to be effective in this most strategic ministry. |

Fulfilling the Goal of Discipleship Session 1: The Beauty of Seeking God’s Face Biblically speaking, the end result of the process of discipleship should be that disciples become disciplers. Paul puts it beautifully when he says to Timothy, “…the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2) In other words, a true disciple is one who effectively passes on the truth to others in such a way that they in return will affect the world in generations to come. However, to be such a disciple one must first fulfill the three steps in the process of making disciples. Prophet Ezra describes them as follows: “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. (Ezra 7:10) The first step is to seek God and to learn His ways. Secondly we must live out what we have learned from God. And thirdly, we must lead others to Him and teach them His ways. In these three Workshops I will show that the order here, is crucial, and all the three steps are vital for discipleship to be complete. |
