Partners in Mission

Cook Islands

In 2007 the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church wanted to create a greater sense of interdependence and partnership between the Island fields [Missions] and the Australian/New Zealand Conferences through a partnership relationship to be known as "Partners in Mission".

In September 2008 the North New Zealand Conference travelled to Rorotonga to form a partnership with the cook Islands Mission.

This partnership will involve the transfer of knowledge, skills and resources as appropriate, resulting in the establishment of long-term relationships between the parties. Short-term and long-term goals will be established and any strategy or project undertaken will be based on needs identified through local decision-making processes of both Executive Committees.

This partnership is not only at administrative level but will extend to all entities within the Conference and Mission, as well as employees. All initiatives will aim to build capacity and advance the self-sufficiency of the Mission, and also build the awareness and involvement in the mission of the Conference.

"We work together as partners, who belong to God". 1 Corinthians 3:9
