Money Talk – Act Smart

Nations are worried about money; ordinary people are worried too. Studies show one of our top fears is fear of poverty. Two things will help. First, decide that you will trust God. He will take care of you! “How much more he will clothe you, O you of little faith!” Luke 12:28. Second, be different from almost everyone around you—by acting smart with your money. John Wesley summed up the Bible’s teaching like this: “Make all you can, save all you can, give all you can.” Many people are not merely spending what they make—they’re spending more than they make. That’s called debt, and debt goes into war against saving and giving. God can guide you on a path of money wisdom—are you willing to follow?

PRAYERHOUSE Word

“God-friendship is for God-worshipers; They are the ones he confides in. If I keep my eyes on God, I won't trip over my own feet.”

Psalm 25:14-15
 (The Message)

2011 Year of Worship

Worship is the submission of all our nature to God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness, the nourishment of the mind with His truth, the purifying of the imagination of His beauty, the opening of the heart to His love, the surrender of the will to His purpose.

-William Temple

Prayer Zone

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
- John 10:27 (NLT)

Prayer Focus
Listening to God is just as important, (if not more) than talking to Him. He speaks in a still small voice; through the wind; the thunder; His word; the Holy Spirit. Do we stop and listen? Do we wait upon Him for direction and leading when we ask for His will to be done in our lives?
May we rest in Him during our prayer times and listen quietly for His voice. May we learn to recognize the sound of the Shepherds voice and like sheep, know Him.
